Emergency Management Intern

What I liked

Everyone who works in the department is extremely nice. They are always willing to help and answer any questions. I liked that after some training I was trusted to do the work on my own and check in at the end of my shift. There were always multiple opportunities to learn about different areas in the police department.

What I wish was different

Advice

Being an emergency management intern means you have to walk a lot! Have a good pair of running/walking shoes and also a water bottle. Also, do not be intimidated to talk to the people who also work in the police department, and ask questions when you are curious about something.
