NUFDI is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of Iranian-Americans raising awareness on the freedom movement in Iran in Washington, D.C.
Our work is centered on four main campaigns:
We connect Iranian dissidents and activists to English-language media outlets to inform the discussion of Iran and the movement for democracy.
We work with lawmakers and staffers across the aisle to raise awareness of the issues of human rights, gender apartheid, environmental injustice, racial discrimination, religious persecution, and the democracy movement in Iran.
We research events in Iran and potential policy alternatives in conjunction with other American think tanks, policy groups, and thought leaders.
Human Rights Campaign
We coordinate with human rights groups and advocates to bring attention to the plight of prisoners of conscience. We work to refer the Islamic Republic's crimes against humanity to the attention of the highest international legal bodies.
