I really liked gaining hands-on experience in the wind and solar energy industry and getting to work as a member of the permitting team at Geronimo Energy. They provided me with the opportunities to work actively on team projects and fulfill team goals. I enjoyed the company culture and the robust experience I gained through working at Geronimo Energy.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have been able to have a weekly or bi-weekly check in meeting with my advisor, as I did not recieve extensive feedback often throughout the summer.
Advice
I would advise students to get to know their coworkers and hear about their career path. Building these relationships adds to the internship experience and is built-in networking! Additionally, dive in to the work and see every day as an opportunity to learn more.
