This was an awesome experience to learn about and advocate for something I was passionate about. This was a very fast-passed environment and there was always something exciting going on. I got to help with their annual Global Summit, a huge even involving leaders from around the world. I would highly recommend trying to intern around this time because you get a lot of relevant experience and the chance to network with many other people involved ending sexual exploitation.
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to communicate better with the staff. I did this internship early on in my college career and I wish I had done it as a capstone type event so I could have had more experience leading up to it.
Advice
Don't be afraid to ask questions and communicate with the full-time staff. They are super nice and willing to help!
