The environment at NAPW was great. Everyone was extremely friendly and was very open to giving about advice about graduate programs and jobs. The director provided networking opportunities. We spent about two days learning about the organization in-depth and this gave us insight on how the organization was founded and how it functioned as a non-profit. We were also given opportunities to do independent work, and chose how and what we would like to do.
What I wish was different
I wish our hours had been a little more flexible, as there was a lot of working at a desk. Since we were also unpaid, it would have been nice to do have a slightly different schedule in order to do some other work on the side.
Advice
Try and talk to everyone you can at the organization, because everyone has wisdom to share. And it contributes to an enjoyable office environment :)
