My Sisters’ Place is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, located in Westchester County, New York, that has grown from a grassroots task force and drop-in center formalized in 1978 into a cutting-edge leader and resource in the field of domestic violence and human trafficking advocacy and services. Since 1981, the Domestic Violence Education and Prevention program staff (DVEP) at My Sisters’ Place have worked with Westchester County youth to educate them about the dynamics of dating violence. DVEP empowers youth by providing them with tools to build and support relationships free of abuse. As part of a DVEP experience, youth will establish a vision of healthy relationships, define and understand the dynamics of abuse, and explore options to safely address abuse. DVEP Community Educators facilitate prevention education workshops and assist in the oversight of our teen leadership and volunteering opportunity.
