The support staff. It's a small company, but you can tell they care about their team. The director made an effort to reach out and ensure we all felt welcome, along with holding coffee chats so we can get to know them on a more personal level. They work hard to make sure we feel like a valuable part of their company. You can also set your own hourly rate.
What I wish was different
I wish that I was hired more often as a tutor so that I have more consistent income but this is all based on the people booking. I'm still grateful there are other opportunities they offer to support their team of tutors.
Advice
Be open, make the effort to get to know the support staff, and pursue opportunities. As much as they try to get to know you, the best way is to put yourself out there and apply to all the chances they give. I applied to teach a workshop even though I felt underqualified. But, I ended up being selected as one of few teachers and it was such a rewarding experience.
