Who We Are:
My Compassion is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, founded in the state of Michigan in 2009 by patients who experienced the positive effects of medical cannabis. My Compassion’s extensive educational and community outreach programs have earned it a prominent position and voice across the country. With over 50 years of combined experience, My Compassions Team of professionals know what issues are most important for patients and their families.
What We Do:
My Compassion provides patient education, community outreach and research on the use of medical cannabis to treat chronic conditions and disease, including the laws and safety protocols. We offer a variety of resources intended to assure patients and providers have access to the necessary information when considering cannabinoid therapeutics. Public safety is a high priority to My Compassion as it is critical to the longevity and positive outcome of any medical cannabis program.
Our Objectives
• Create strong patient education and community outreach programs, where My Compassion can increase awareness about medical cannabis, including dosing and side effects, treatment options,
safety awareness, laws and impact on family and communities.
• Facilitate clinical trials and studies on cannabis for the treatment of cancer, opioid use disorder and woman’s health. Initiate partnerships with academic institutions and organizations to expand research that will provide scientific data on cannabis in areas that affect human health and safety.
• Maintain lines of communication with other professional associations and organizations that will foster cooperative activities and a positive outcome for patients and their families as they begin to navigate and understand the use of medical cannabis.
My Compassion’s mission is to increase awareness and understanding of the medical use of cannabis through advocacy, education and research.
