I liked that I was able to gain skills in the field, in the laboratory, and the office. I was able to work at my own pace and gain independence. My supervisor was incredibly knowledgeable about water quality and was always happy to answer any of my questions.
What I wish was different
The work was very independent, so it would have been nice to be able to work with other interns once in a while.
Advice
I would advise other students to be willing to step out of their comfort zone, because you never know what you could learn from that experience.
