What I liked

I liked that this internship gave me a lot of opportunities to grow. I was able to teach patrons of all ages. I was able to learn a lot about different subjects. I was able to teach different subjects. I was able to help with different educational events and help coordinate with a field trip to the Museum of Idaho with the school I was placed at. I was also able to learn about different educational technologies that I am currently using in my teaching. I am also now aware of different resources the Museum of Idaho has for educators.

What I wish was different

I do wish I was able to work more hours at the museum.

Advice

This experience helped me become a better problem solver and think on my feet better. I learned that education is fun, and there are lots of ways to make it fun.

I loved having the opportunity to deeply learn the history being presented and sharing that knowledge with fellow history lovers.

Do additional research on the history being presented outside of the exhibit. People will ask you lots of questions that aren't always on the little plaques.
