I liked that I was able to gain experience in a unique career type and make connections with other students on campus.

What I wish was different

I wish that the work load was more organized and that there was more room for upward mobility in my position.

Advice

I would recommend that the next person to take a job similar to mine would organize themselves when their boss or higher-up would not.

The organization of the training and the program was very nice. I met a lot of people and felt like I made a big difference.

While I really liked the experience, I think that the organization of the program could have been a little more planned. The program is one that is always changing, so that is to be expected.

What I liked

Working longer days during the summer really gave me perspective on what I did and did not want to do for my career. It also helped me build a stronger relationship with the people that I work here with.

What I wish was different

I hate to say it, but I wish that we had more to do during the summer. I was expecting big projects and different activities, but it was generally the same as during the school year and relatively boring, as most of my time was spent answering calls or watching Netflix.

Advice

Summer jobs are a great way to build your resume and gain experience in the field you are in. As an added bonus, you really get to discover what EXACTLY you want to do in your job field.
