What I liked

I loved working with at-risk teens in this program.

What I wish was different

There was a high level of flexibility required but that is a normal aspect in most jobs, at least for the development of teens to adults. Things change and some activities take longer, or a hosted tour falls through and the lesson for that day gets thrown together quickly. That was good experience for a Human Services position, so even though this disrupted expectations at times, I also can't really say I wish it had been very different.

Know yourself and clarify what the project expects from you. If I had known of additional optional hours available after the classes for the day, I would have arranged my schedule differently and spent more hours at the Project.
