Working the design desk at the Missourian has been a great experience! It's a friendly environment and it's a learning newsroom, which means that it's laid back and teaching-focused.
What I wish was different
The design desk has some late nights, so I do wish that we got done a bit earlier, but we wait for the news so that isn't really possible!
Advice
I suggest a Missourian position to anyone connected to the J-School at Mizzou. It's a fun environment and a great place to work.
