I loved seeing patients everyday and learning so much about Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. I gained substantial and unforgettable experience in healthcare and medicine. I got to shadow in the clinic, the operating room, and the hospital and see a variety of diseases, illnesses, and procedures.
What I wish was different
I wish there was a clinical research aspect as described in the original title of the position and Handshake page.
Advice
One piece of advice I would give is to not be afraid of seeing anything and enjoy every minute of it, it goes by fast! You will learn so much.
