I loved that I had the opportunity to design days programs for adults with developmental disabilities and I made a lot of connections in a new community in my home-town. I also conducted a research study in which I learned more about bias and prejudice towards adults with developmental disabilities.
What I wish was different
I wish I could've worked a little longer and that my tasks were either more focused on programming or more focused on research because working in both roles was a bit challenging.
Advice
That it was challenging and difficult at times, but that that challenge was an incredible experience and I'm so grateful that I tried working in an environment that I'd never really been in before.
