If you're curious about guiding, sign up! They offer a guide school at the beginning of the season to teach you how to read water, how to row oar rigs and how to paddle guide. No experience required. It's a lot of fun especially if you like meeting new people and you like boating (or want to get into it). They upped wages this year, so for guides base pay is 15/hr, and that increases with certifications and such. You also make tips, which account for about half of my income!
