What I liked
I loved the experiences and different case loads of patients throughout the nursing day at MNMC. I loved the educational aspect of learning from my preceptor and other nurses on floor.
What I wish was different
I wished it had been closer to Bloomsburg so when I did accept the offer to stay on as a nursing assistant- I did not feel so far away from my busy schedule throughout this fall semester as it was my last semester. I would also change the mentality of the nurse to remind the nursing externs- that it is not a nursing assistant position during summer- it is a shadow of a nurse.
Advice
ALL NURSING STUDENTS please take an externship between junior and senior year! it is VITAL to excellent success for Adult health two collaborative learning in clinical as well as classroom work.

If you want to go into healthcare, you should try volunteering at a hospital.
