What I liked

The environment is incredibly supportive. It is clear that Motivate Lab prioritizes the happiness and well-being of their employees. Motivate Lab also offers many opportunities to grow as a researcher.

What I wish was different

As with any research position, the work load feels a bit unbalanced. Some weeks I have enough work to fill all my hours, and other weeks I have no projects. I wish I could have more consistency with my work, but most research jobs have this kind of varying workload.

Advice

It is important to ask questions when you are confused. For most of my life I have been hesitant to ask questions for fear that I would appear stupid, but at Motivate Lab I have learned that asking questions is an important and expected part of any job.
