The Mother's Milk Bank of Iowa recruits and screens milk donors, collects and stores milk from approved donors, pasteurizes and dispenses it to infants in the hospital (NICU and other units) and at home (by prescription) across the country. We have milk collection depots in 5 states that receive milk from approved area donors and store it until it is transported by the milk bank or shipped to us. We are an accredited member milk bank of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America and follow their Standards. We are a program within the Department of Food and Nutrition Services, University of Iowa Healthcare.
