What I wish was different
The internship lacked communication, structure, and clarity. Assignments typically were given to interns at odd schedules and hours. I would ask for feedback and would receive little explanation or help. I would reach out for help and they would criticize rather than attempt to offer me mentorship. I really was looking for a place to grow my design skills and portfolio, but instead got a really rough experience with people who seemed to only care about the work I was producing rather than offering mentorship. Definetely not the internship I had in mind nor the experience I wanted. They threatened to fire all the interns, but did not offer much constructive criticisms beyond "do better, there is a lack of effort". I just wish the experience could have been better overall, the work was unstructured and simple busy work rather than impactful work. I believe this was very unfair and unprofessional.
