Working with others outside of your field can be extremely beneficial. Being able to have differing points of view can help growth more than anything.

What I liked
I like that I have a network of other school psychologists at work.
What I wish was different
I didn’t get to know which school district I would be working in until two weeks before my start date. Although I love where I’m placed, it was difficult to plan ahead and learn more about the district or know how long my commute would be.
Advice
Talk to current employees before accepting a job if you can! It gives you a great sense of the employer and have a better idea if it’s right for you.
