I loved working with the students, we did multiple paintings and did our weekly Community Based Instruction which allowed the students to get real life experiences using money, grocery shopping, and going to restaurants and ordering from a menu. This is applied life skills that the students can use post graduation from the program (Workability).
What I wish was different
I wish it was longer than one month.
Advice
It is really important for people to see students with learning disabilities thriving in the community and we should not judge people by their disabilities.
