Marketing Intern
September - December 2019 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I liked being in the office and getting an inside look at what it is like to work at a publication. I enjoyed curating brand feature packages for the magazine's featured designers.
What I wish was different
I think it would have been beneficial if I could have sat in on more meetings and have more contact with other employees about projects.
Advice
It will expose you to the publication industry to help you see if you are interested in pursuing that path. So if you are, give it a try!

Marketing & Events Intern
August 2019 • Dallas, TX
What I liked
This internship is very hands-on! You will get extensive experience in areas such as event activation, content creation, marketing coordination, social media scheduling, and writing articles for the magazine. I loved getting experience with all of these things in the luxury market.
What I wish was different
I wish I had taken this internship when I had fewer hours in school. It is very busy and you will need to go to Dallas about 4 times/week.
Advice
Make sure you have time to do this! It is a huge time commitment and you will often need to bring home work with you as well. If you can handle that though, it is the best experience you will have if you are interested in marketing and events!
