About Mitzvah Circle

Mitzvah Circle is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which provides material support to individuals and families dealing with crisis, poverty, homelessness and serious illness. Through careful assessment and building personal relationships, we promptly determine needs and deliver individualized assistance. We serve people who are unable to obtain immediate or sufficient help from government agencies and traditional service organizations. Mitzvah Circle Foundation is not faith-based; we treat everyone with kindness and compassion, restoring hope and honoring dignity.

We are reliant on our interns and volunteers to keep our business running and growing. We have a formalized intern training program and we have a cohort of approximately 10 interns each semester.

Reviews

Social Work Intern

June 2019 - August 2019 Harleysville, PA
“The community and environment at Mitzvah Circle Foundation. Not only my peer interns, but my social work supervisor and the other employees all really cared for us. We get real opportunities to grow and learn new skills but they made sure we were prepared to do things. Example, before talking to someone on the phone to do a critical needs update they made sure you were comfortable with sales force and filling out any of the forms. Also, if you are not doing the internship for credit, the hours are very flexible and the supervisor is very willing to work with you. ”

Non Profit Administrative Intern

June 2018 - August 2018 Harleysville, PA
“The staff at Mitzvah Circle Foundation are amazing. I learned with intimate detail the ins and outs of how a nonprofit organization functions. I was able to assist in the logistical planning and organizing of many programs in the nonprofit and was given fair autonomy as an unpaid intern.”
