This experience was very supportive of my learning, individual growth as a leader and within the natural resource field, and of my interpersonal skills overall. The staff and community partners were very welcoming and were interested in hearing how they could support me throughout the summer. The leaders of the fellowship were very accommodating to our individual interests and needs, and made sure that we felt supported throughout our projects and different experiences.
What I wish was different
The position offered a wide variety of experiences within natural resources in the Twin Cities, but sometimes it felt like it would be nice to have more opportunities to work consistently at a location or with certain partners. Working for longer at a certain site could allow for deeper relationship building and and overall confidence/familiarity in a certain skillset.
Advice
A main piece of advice would be to always ask questions and be appreciative of the time and knowledge that others are sharing. This is an awesome opportunity to connect with others and learn about your own strengths and interests!

What I liked
The work environment was comfortable.
You have the opportunity to mix up your work so, some days you'll be in the field and other days you'll be at your desk.
