What I liked

I loved how welcoming everyone was from day one! They did a great job introducing me to each of the teams and giving me and understanding of how the organization operated. I felt very included in the development team and felt that they valued my input and ideas. My favorite part about the internship was how they shaped the internship around some of my interests to make it something I would enjoy and find value in. MI is a great place to work and they try to make their internships meaningful and fulfilling! Highly recommend.

What I wish was different

I wish I would've had more time to spend with the different teams to work on more projects.

Advice

Take advantage of your time with the staff! They're very willing to get to know you and help you shape projects that you think would be valuable, so use that to your advantage!

What I liked

During my internship experience, I greatly appreciated the amount of attention that was placed on my personal and professional development. My supervisor was extremely helpful in walking with me as I discovered which areas of work were of more or less interest to me. My supervisor took the time to learn my unique gifts and abilities and put me in a space where I could thrive. Mission India is full of world-class people, all working toward a shared goal. Throughout the entirety of my internship, I felt personally valued and understood that my input was appreciated.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to put in more hours each week during my internship. In doing so, I could have spent more time collaborating with different departments on varying projects, thus having a more thorough experience.

Advice

If you decide to work or intern with Mission India, be prepared to work for an organization fully dedicated to its mission and vision. It would be helpful to ensure that your personal values align with the company's, as everything they do stems from this core mission.
