I was outdoors every single day working in all conditions during the summer season. Most every day I was seining or electrofishing but always doing hands on work. The pay was very well for an internship. I also had the chance to make a lot of connections within the DNR and also to get valuable experience within the field.

I would recommend getting housing in close proximity to the area because commuting to work and then doing a lot of travelling for the job can really strain a person.
