The communication team was youthful and exciting to engage with. I didn’t feel like a complete outsider as an intern. My boss also taught me SO much about working in a communication position at any professional job. What I LOVED was that I got to connect with Commerce professionals who really praised me and appreciated my work.
What I wish was different
I had to share a cubical with the other communication intern (her focus was graphic design) and although her and I became best friends, I would have preferred to occupy my own space because I found myself getting distracted a lot with her right next to me.
Advice
I would highly encourage everyone to obtain an internship before graduating because I’m experience completely eliminated the fear I have of “not being qualified” when it come to professional work. Doing the work first hand really shows you how qualified and how capable you truly are. It even pushed me to consider applying for Ivy League graduate schools and law schools, which is something I NEVER would have considered before.

What I liked
Great work environment. Area of work was interesting, learned a lot , and my coworkers were wonderful.
What I wish was different
Not much comes to mind. It's a non-glamourous office job, so I had reasonable expectations that were exceeded.
Advice
It's a great opportunity. If you're at all interested in commerce, give it a shot!
