I was given some projects that were legitimately important for the firm, one of which got me into an important meeting toward the end of the summer.
What I wish was different
Sometimes I had nothing to do, since this wasn't the most structured internship.
Advice
Be a self-starter and ask for work to do - sometimes that will land you a completely different project than what you usually do that allows you to learn something totally different.
