Miller Electric Mfg LLC

Manufacturing Engineering Intern

June - August 2021 • Appleton, WI

What I liked

The interns were heavily involved and granted important responsibilities. Great opportunity to work on projects that will make an impact within the company! The company culture is centered around communication, continuous improvement, and mutual respect. Everyone wants to support you, the operators, the managers, the other interns, everyone is there for the right reasons. The location is nice too, and I liked getting to know different people!

What I wish was different

I wish there could have been more intern social events in person; however, the interns understood that COVID protocols made this a little bit trickier to plan for.

Advice

Trust your self and instinct, find your go-to people. Half of the battle is knowing where to go, the other half is trusting yourself and what you know.

Everything! I love this company. The people, the culture, the experience, the pay. I've never had a company treat my so well. Miller Truly cares about their employees (interns and full time the same!)

What I wish was different

Some of the work was a little tedious at times, but that's expected at all jobs I suppose.

The company culture is amazing. Everyone within my department was willing to help me out when I needed it or answer my questions. Often times, it doesn’t seem like work since the people on the team I am with are so friendly. I also like being able to meet and do activities with other interns.
