What I liked

I liked that I did not experience a change in the amount of pay that I received. Even if I did, it would have been okay because I still had the opportunity to work, unlike some people during the pandemic. We did not let the pandemic stop us from being there for the youth as well as entertaining them.

What I wish was different

I wish the pandemic had not occurred so I could have experienced my first summer at this job. There could have been trips, but we did them virtually instead.

Advice

I would like to share that you should never take for granted the opportunities that you have. People may think that you should only strive for jobs like being a doctor or lawyer, but other jobs matter too. The teachers and after school programs kept their jobs throughout the pandemic even when other things were shut down, proving that these jobs are important.
