The people you meet working/volunteering there and the people of the community are really great all around. They make it a fun and engaging place to be.

I wish I could have stayed there longer but I switched schools and moved away.

Try it and really engage with the people, it makes it better for everyone.

What I liked
I really enjoyed being able to engage with the community and children of the area that MW El Futuro serves. I also loved that I had the opportunity to use my Spanish often with many different spanish-speakers. Another thing I appreciated greatly was doing administrative work that I am not used to.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time to observe the teachers who taught the workshops at the summer camps so I could have better taught my own workshop.
Advice
Starting early and getting to explore the area would be a great idea to enhance your experience. I think it would have been useful to have gone to a volunteer orientation. Also, have all your clearances done beforehand!
