Mid-Continent Public Library

Access Specialist

May 2019 • Independence, MO

What I liked

I liked being able to have access to different databases outside of the University of Missouri System as well as helping patrons find any information they might need for a number of reasons including school projects, personal learning and more!

What I wish was different

I wish it was easier to set up different programs in the library to help teach kids about different scientific phenomena. I also wish there were more avenues to explore when trying to share the different knowledge I have, rather than just setting up different programs.

Advice

We are not done learning once we graduate from college. Learning is an ongoing project that continues until the day we die and can happen in many different forms, whether it be through books, websites, or even talking to someone else. There is always something that can be learned, as long as you're willing to look for it.
