I loved that I was given more responsibility as the internship went on. When I first arrived I was taught the basics to the event planning for the organization. By the end of the summer I was putting on my own events.
What I wish was different
I had a great experience with my internship. I loved what I did and really enjoyed working beside the people I
worked with. There is nothing that I would change from a working or relationship stand point. I did drive about 80 miles a day (total) which was not fun, but it was worth the experience.
Advice
The biggest piece of advise I have is to not be afraid of finding an internship outside of the University. Try to network and meet people to find an opportunity. I found my internship through being a customer at Michigan Shooting Centers. Networking is a wonderful way to find work or internships.
