I liked creating memories and experiences for the guests that attended the festival. I also enjoyed entertaining the children that came to the festival as well. We had fun free events for the children to participate in, these events include Princess Story Time and Royal Boot Camp.
What I wish was different
Nothing, I've been working at the festival for five years now and every year I've worked there has been great.
Advice
It's a huge time commitment to work at the Michigan Renaissance Festival. A piece of advice for anyone who's interested in being a part of the resident cast is, be prepared to work all day on the weekends during the middle of August through the beginning of October. In the beginning of the summer starting in June, we have rehearsals every Saturday as well. You must be able to commit to the performance dates that are given to you.
