Mia Learning is a startup co-founded last year by an educator and a data scientist. To address the challenge of creating lifelong readers, we made Mia.
Mia is each kid’s secret agent in the world of books. She doesn’t use artificial intelligence and machine learning to teach kids to read. She uses it to teach help to make reading awesome. Mia is a voice chatbot (like a chattier Alexa) who recommends books that fit each kid’s interests, purposes, and abilities; provides access to the ones kids choose; and coaches them on how to make powerful choices about their independent reading.
