I liked that it was not as formal. The learning environment was laid-back and very hands-on. Everyday was spent outside on the farm and we went to visit farms in Maine and Vermont.
What I wish was different
I wish that their had been more visits to other nearby farms and perhaps in some cases a more structured learning environment.
Advice
Have an open attitude. Much of the internship requires getting your hands dirty. There are two out-of-state camping trips throughout the internship.

What I liked
I loved the work atmosphere and the other interns. I also thoroughly enjoyed the trail and farm work.
What I wish was different
At times, there was not enough organization and the days were a little scattered.
Advice
This internship was a lot of heavy labor, but the people that intern at MEVO are people you want to be around.

What I liked
I liked how it had a family atmosphere. We worked hard to achieve a common goal while maintaining an upbeat attitude. It helped me grow as a person.
What I wish was different
It could have been more structured in the sense of having a set schedule.
Advice
MEVO is an organization that puts you out of your comfort zone. It challenges you physically and mentally but in the end you’ll see how much you developed. Be ready for a life-changing experience.
