Associate Project Engineer

What I liked

Through my summer project, I had the ability to make a direct impact to my university by working on a proposal for a solar project that would be placed on campus. I enjoyed the project a lot because I was challenged to use engineering and business skills to complete my tasks. I also thought it was really valuable for me to be able to finish my summer internship with a physical finished product that exemplified all of the hard work I did during the summer. From this experience, I feel like I am better equipped to tackle the work force once I graduate.

What I wish was different

There were a few times where the work load slowed down. If that happened, then I would just need to ask for more work to do.

Advice

Everyone in the company was willing to take time out of their busy schedule to show me what they were working on or to teach me about a certain topic in the solar industry. Take advantage of this! You will learn so much by just asking people if they can take an hour out of their day to teach you a new topic.
