What I liked

The people were all very welcoming and supportive of making my internship an educational experience. I was able to work side-by-side with the CEO, who has in-depth knowledge of the medical market and unparalleled business acumen. Working in a smaller company allowed me to thoroughly analyze all business metrics and understand the company comprehensively, which provided me with the opportunity to influence various business decisions based on my analysis.

What I wish was different

Advice

You are provided some influence over company decisions in a startup, even as only an intern. Be confident in your analysis and decisions and you will enjoy seeing your work being integrated into the business.

Medtel provides an excellent learning environment in a fast-growing healthcare company effecting real change in the surgical space. Interns get the opportunity to work with various teams to learn a variety of skills and challenge themselves while also creating a real impact on the company.
