I love how Medidata provides an internship program that emphasizes cross functional collaboration. Being able to work on the Intern Innovation Lab throughout the summer was the highlight of my internship experience, and it opened my eyes do many different aspects that go into a software company.

Accounts Payable Intern
July - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I liked my Accounts Payable Team. We were all in synced and everyone had task specifically tailored to their strengths. One thing that stood out to me was the one on one meetings with my supervisor. Checking up on someone can really make a difference. We're so used to being told to leave our personal lives at home but, that' s what makes us who we are. So that we allowed me to be my true self and more open.
What I wish was different
I wish the time I started was different. Being that I get out of college in May for summer break, it would be good to start in June instead of July. However, I was still fortunate to have had this opportunity.
Advice
Asking questions is one of the most important things you can do at an internship. Everyone is there to help and mentor you, so don't be afraid to ask for help when needed.
