Helping out meant so much to the people we were cooking meals for and because of this I want others to know that volunteering even if its for a day can really make a difference

It was a very humbling experience and I enjoyed collaborating with other volunteers to make sure people were able to get their food in a fashionable manner.
What I wish was different
Since, I spent most of my time behind the desk speaking with people over the phone, My hope for next summer is that I actually go on the different routes so that I can talk to people face to face.
Advice
I would say to definitely take advantage of the opportunity to give back to your community and if that leads you to working at a Meals on Wheels organization... Don’t hesitate!

More opportunities for me to stay under a different job title (its sadly very limited if you are not a driver)

Stay focused on your work each day and keep to yourself. Otherwise a very wonderful and fufilling job
