Youth Ministry Intern

What I liked

- Large variety of tasks -- leading small groups, teaching in large groups, designing graphics for events, creating silly promo videos, setting up and tearing down for events, working on curriculum - Fun team of other interns to work alongside - Spiritual discipleship and emphasis on prayer

What I wish was different

Youth ministry lends itself to a very irregular schedule (for example: working a Saturday night event and then working early on Sunday morning)

Be willing to work as a member on team!

What I liked

There was never a moment where I had nothing to do, so it was a rich experience. Additionally, although we were in one ministry team, we got to be involved in many roles throughout the summer.

What I wish was different

I wish we had better mentorship during the program.

Advice

Definitely go into it knowing that you can always do more and find your own opportunities to help.
