I had the opportunity to meet many people involved in the legislative process of our country. I was able to attend meetings informing the public about certain activities and I also learned more on the legislative system.

What I liked

I enjoyed the fact that I was treated not as an intern, but as a research associate- this meant that I worked on meaningful projects and was able to contribute with and learn from staff at the McKeon Group. It was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone interested in politics or in working in D.C.

You will get more substantive projects if you demonstrate early on your writing and research skills, professionalism, and responsibility.
