Extremely personal. My supervisors, and everyone in the engineering department, sat down with us often to answer all of our question related to our projects.
What I wish was different
A little more guidance from the outset. They strategically let us flounder in our projects the first few weeks to let us learn the engineering process for ourselves.
Advice
Get to know everyone. Don't be afraid to set aside work every now and then in order to connect with your coworkers.
