Advice

It's not for everyone; you have to have 'thick skin' and be able to learn quickly, and work fast for long periods of time. It can be a very stressful work environment, but also a very rewarding one.

What I liked

I like how my store manager provided me with extra shifts and extra hours over my summer break. During the school year, I'm only available for 24 hours weekly or 16 hours weekly. During my summer break, I was provided with 40 hours weekly. Sometimes, I worked 41 hours weekly.

What I wish was different

I wish McDonald's would not promote individuals with lousy personalities to management level. I have never been promoted throughout my time of working here. I'm still at entry level. I absolutely do not assume that I can be a better manager than those with lousy personalities. I know that I'm not paid enough to be mistreated by bullies, jerks, and those who think that they're almighty and truly aren't.

Individuals must be team players and ready to help each other get customers through meal time rushes.
