What I liked

I enjoyed gaining invaluable experience in the world of social media by getting to curate content calendars, create captions, and schedule posts. Additionally, I learned a lot about filming and editing videos for social media when creating TikToks, as well as product installation videos for the website. The people within Maxxima are amazing and were an absolute pleasure to work with!

What I wish was different

I wish I had more of an opportunity to sit down with other departments within the company to learn more of an overview of the business and its processes.

Advice

Do not be afraid to ask any question you may have, no question is a bad question! Be prepared to act professionally but also be ready to have fun working on each project!

What I liked

I really liked how I directly impacted the development process. The products I tested are evaluated and could be put on production. The modifications and fixtures I made are also used.

What I wish was different

I wish there were more interns, but that's about it.

Make sure to voice any issues you have. They care about your situation and will accomadate the best they can.

What I liked

I was able to get a first hand experience of being part of weekly meetings and seeing how it was like to report to the VP. The independence of working on tasks on my own and being treated like a team member of the company. I wasn't just the "intern", I was part of a team.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to learn more on the marketing side rather then sticking through just social media. It would be great to learn more of the sales of the company, the research behind it, and more of the importance how that side of marketing correlates with the social media platform.

Advice

Don't ever be shy in speaking up or asking questions! Everyone their is willing to help you and wants to see you succeed.

What I liked

I enjoyed being a valued employee at this company. I wasn't treated like an intern. I was invited to meetings and encouraged to share my thoughts which were considered and sometimes executed.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more time to learn about the company to better understand how to effectively sell their products through social media. I felt as though at the beginning, I was simply regurgitating information easily found on their website.
