This has been a great experience to apply the things I have been learning in college. The work has given me the opportunity to become proficient in the use of Civil3D and AutoCAD, and it has shown me how the principles we learn in the classroom apply to the real world. One of my favorite parts of the job has also been the atmosphere of the office. Each of the professionals working in the office teach and lead by the example of their knowledge and work ethic. Overall it has been a great experience.

The job is great for students, and they are willing to work around your class schedules. I highly recommend any student who is interested in civil design to check out this internship opportunity.

What I liked
I have had a different internship every summer for the last 4 years. This past summer I interned at Maxwell Reddick and it was hands down the best internship I had ever had. I learned so much in such a short amount of time.
The school doesn't really offer a way to properly learn how to use Civil 3D, and working at Maxwell, I learned everything I needed to and more. The nice thing is that they allow you to work part time on your own schedule during the semester based off when your classes are.
I highly recommend this internship to any civil engineering student that attends GA Southern.
