The people, the training and the experience. I am so happy to be working here. I have learned so much and I am hoping for a permanent position with them.
What I wish was different
The pay can always be better but nothing other than that.
Advice
Be yourself in an interview. I missed out on too many positions because I got nervous. Do your research on the company and prepare yourself for the interview. Be confident and do your best to enjoy the experience.

Retail Salesperson
January 2019 • King of Prussia, PA
What I liked
I like the relaxed environment of the store. It is not high pressure sales because when people come in they are usually looking to buy a mattress and you just have to spend a lot of time showing them what might suith them best.
What I wish was different
I did not receive the same type of commission as those who had been there longer or had passed a specific test that they had to pass to receive full commission. So, I worked a lot of hourly wage hours and did not receive a lot of commission for doing much of the same work as others who work there.
Advice
Get your degree. You do not want to be stuck in a job where you are making a little more than minimum wage because you do not have options. Use all of your experiences to your benefit. Working a job like this, helps with communications skills because you really have to be able to communicate with the buyer to figure out what the buyer wants.

I loved meeting so many great people. Mattress Firm really is just one big family! Everyone there had lots of experience and were able to help me learn how to become a great salesman.
What I wish was different

Advice
In the beginning its going to be hard. There is going to be a lot to learn and take in but once you know it all you'll start to be more confident and be the best salesperson you can be. The job will get easier and you'll notice your making money just based off the fact that people like you. It's a great experience if you give it a chance.

Sales Intern (Other Industries)
May - August 2018 • Kennesaw, GA
What I liked
I liked how the company treated you just like any other employee that they'd take on full time - we received the same training, respect, and were held to the same standards as the employees we worked with.
What I wish was different
I wish that that internship had more guidance for the internship portions, the actual career portion was phenomenal though.
Advice
Get ready to work; however, this is probably going to be one of the first jobs you'll have that you can actually see your hard work paying off almost instantly.
