I loved the students at this school and the opportunity I had to spend time with them and hopefully make their time at this learning center enjoyable and valuable.
What I wish was different
I wish that administration hired a real BCBA to help unqualified staff members deal with behaviors and other learning targets in an appropriate and safe manner. I wish that data targets were tracked over the summer so students had the chance to migrate out of this school or at least continue to be stimulated in their learning. I wish that certain staff members who did not respect the students' bodily autonomy or personhood were fired and replaced with qualified individuals.
Advice
Do not apply. Especially if you are new to working in ABA. This place is poorly run which unfortunately will affect the wellbeing of the students it attempts to care for.
