Good introduction to campaign work. The schedule was flexible, and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed.
What I wish was different
I wish there had been more opportunities to engage in depth or focus on one area as a newcomer- a lot of the more meaningful projects and jobs were given to the experienced paid employees.

What I liked
I like it a lot because it taught me a lot about local politics (which previously I had no knowledge of)
What I wish was different
I wish I had more time to commit to my internship. I also wish I had taken advantage of Wesleyan’s grant program.
Advice
See if you can get credit from Wesleyan, and if not, some monetary compensation for the time you spent working. Don’t be afraid to ask your boss.
